ZAP Vocal Studio in South Yarra will provide specialised and professional vocal coaching and training to anyone interested in developing the voice. Whether you are working professionally singing music theatre, rock, pop and jazz or just starting out, you will develop the solid technique required to maintain optimum vocal health. Our approach to teaching voice is technical and structured. Starting from the beginning with every single student we passionately believe that proper technique is the basis of all singing. Students will cover breathing, posture and body alignment, vowel shapes, classical legit singing, belt mix and also true belt once the student has a thorough understanding of his or her own vocal mechanism. We also incorporate dramatic elements, ensuring the student has a deep awareness of the lyrical and emotional content of the song, as we also believe no singer is complete without being in touch with his or her emotional mind and body. Our teachers are experienced and professional. The Head Vocal Coach at the ZAP Vocal Studio is Zack Anthony Curran, a professional actor and singer and Artistic Director of Zack Anthony Productions. Zack has had fifteen years of professional vocal training and has worked with some of the masters of voice. His professional career has been expansive and diverse. He has worked in all genres including opera, music theatre, pop, rock, jazz and cabaret.
