Kawasaki ZZR600 ZZR 600 ZX600D converted to STREETFIGHTER - 1991 model - SYDNEY $2500 The original front fairings on this motorcycle were damaged so it has been converted to STREETFIGHTER styling using aftermarket headlight and indicators, and an ACEWELL ACE-3701 digital speedo/tacho unit. All the modifications are ROAD LEGAL and the bike has a blue-slip for rego in NSW. If you pay the registration/green slip fee, I can provide the motorcycle to you with full 12 months rego so you can ride away. The rear fairings are still intact and in good condition. The motorcycle is generally in good cosmetic condition (taking into account that it is now a STREETFIGHTER). It has tiny amounts of surface rust and light scuffing. Because the speedo/tacho unit has been replaced (not by me), I have no idea what the mileage is on this bike... but I would imagine it is more than 50,000km... The new ACEWELL unit only shows the kms travelled since it was installed: 371km. The motorcycle has recently had a lot of attention... including: * replacement FRONT (Metzeler Roadtec Z6) and REAR (Michelin Road Pilot 2) tyres... they each have 90+% thread (according to the Ebay seller I bought them from) * New gel-based maintenance free battery * new mirrors * new shield for exhaust 4-2-1 down-pipes * a major tune and service including change of oil, spark plugs, coolant, and a check/adjustment of carbs, controls, drive chain, charge rate, brakes, suspension etc In the last month I have spent in excess of $900 on this motorcycle... Unfortunately, due to tight economic circumstances, I cannot afford to keep it. I need to try to recoup some of my money. I have always kept the motorcycle undercover, so it does not show any deterioration due to being exposed to the weather. The bike runs fine and can be used as it is now... ... however, if you really want it to be perfect there are a couple of things that will need attention in the future: * the chain and sprockets are eventually going to need replacing... I have been quoted ~$320 (parts and labour) for this * the brakes are good, but will eventually need replacement caliper seal kit... I have been quoted ~$450 (parts and labour) for this * when the bike is cold (ie just started) it blows a little bit of smoke... then it settles down and and it is fine... the bike will ride fine, but if you want to optimise it, it will eventually need a carby overhaul. I also have a Gearsack Universal Luggage rack that, with some modifications, could be mounted on this motorcycle (you will have to do some tinkering yourself, ie to get the appropriate size bits of steel to mount it onto this motorcycle). This rack is NOT included in the sale, but I will let you have it for an additional $40. I have tried to be upfront about the condition of this motorcyle. It should give you lots of kms of use as it is... but it can be made better by attention to chain/sprockets, brakes, and carbys (as stated above).
