Position: Deputy Chief Actuary Company: Insurance Organization Location: Malaysia Job ID: 20154 RESPONSIBILITIES: - Head up new section to support new Takaful license (potentially to take on Appointed Actuary role in 2 years). - Ensure compliance on all product related matters (e.g. actuarial certification, profit analysis, etc.) and financial reporting related matters (e.g. financial condition report, risk based capital, etc.). - Ensure technical accuracy on all product and pricing related matters. - Ensure technical accuracy on all financial reporting matters, including budget projections for business planning, asset liability management, embedded & appraisal valuation and on-going analysis of the experience of the Company. - Assisting the Appointed Actuary on reinsurance related matters, including negotiations with reinsures as part of the overall risk management process. - Managing and developing staff in the department. - Any other ad-hoc projects / assignments as assigned, including but not limited to review / oversight of technical matters with regards to the Holding Companyâ€™s international operations and Takaful operations. QUALIFICATIONS: - 10-15 years of actuarial experience. - Fellow of a recognized professional body in actuarial (FIA, FSA, FIAA, FFA) with at least 3 years post qualifying experience. - Good communication and interpersonal skills. - Takaful experience preferred (but not a prerequisite). - Proven experience in a managerial capacity. - Malaysian Nationality.
